There are many different schools of Feminism. Just as all people aren't alike, not all forms of feminism are alike. Familiarize yourself with these various schools of thought and you might find out that Feminism is NOT a dirty word!
-Liberal Feminism-
-Marxist Feminism-
-Radical Feminism-
-Psychoanalytic Feminism-
-Socialist Feminism-
-Existentialist Feminism-
-PostModern Feminism-
"Feminist Thought" by Rosemarie Tong is where you can educate yourself on these forms and theories. Happy reading!

I'm an eclectic feminist who draws on mainstream "classic" liberal thought, some (lately, although socioeconomics is my weak point) socialist feminism, goddess/pagan feminism, sex-positive feminism, and above all queer theory (so, sort of postmodern feminism, i suppose, except i'm allergic to too much academese). am influenced by various schools of psychology, but am probably not a psychoanalytic feminist in the sense that Tong means it. also learning a lot lately from transfeminism, Black feminism(s), Christian feminism, and Moslem feminism (know least about the latter), among others.
